Boredom at it's Finest
I got really bored. If you are bored, watch these two videos (in the order they are displayed). Hope it helps! I'll write a real blog post this weekend while I'm avoiding going out into the world to actually meet a guy to date.

On Travel, Birthmas & Acting My Age
Folks, it's been a real weird couple of weeks. Stressful yet magically rewarding. First thing's first. Let's chat about some travel.
Shipped (or flew, rather) off to Las Vegas a couple of weekends ago with Sister to have a werkation for RocknRoll Las Vegas (AKA StripAtNight). Last marathon of the year so it was bound to be a good time, and I was lucky to have one of the best little helpers at the expo with me (seriously - Sis could sell shampoo to Chuck Barkley).
For those of you that ran Vegas last year and decided not to attend this year, let me just clarify that RnR really got their shit together and put on a phenom race in 2012. For those of you that don't know- last year was a bit of cluster. Something about water issues, course issues... yada. But Competitor doesn't take mistakes lightly and for real put on a great marathon (and half marathon). One that I would do in the future.
Down from 44,000 to ~30,000 runners, this years expo was a little slower than expected but (obviously) Sister and I had a great time taking over the Strip. Besides a couple of late nights and a shattered mirror at the Venetian, we walked away much better off than the guys in The Hangover (and actually I came out $300 in the green after 4 hours of craps!).
Tips for Vegas -
1] Quit while you're ahead!
2] Don't fight with your sister within a foot of a wall of mirrors.
3] For the love of God do not book your flight out of Vegas for 6am departure.
Immediately following my return from Vegas was The Running Event in Austin. Now, this is where things got a little messy. Managed to pull myself together and make it through the Party of the Year while nursing a pretty serious Vegas hangover. Met some really cool athletes, including Lauren Fleshman, and got to see some friends from around the country. Attended the Oiselle cocktail hour at Mellow Johnny's and got to see my boss show 'em how it's done on the dance floor.
Highlight of the week, however, was definitely Thursday - the final day - of TRE. Woke up to a headache (courtesy of the ladies of Oiselle) and went through the motions of the expo. Around noon, surprised Jenn VonHagen with a little lunch at Garrido's downtown where we ran into one of the coolest guys I know. Needless to say, she was pretty stoked and we had a fun lunch. Now what happened AFTER the expo is still a little foggy. Dinner with the 110% crew at Uchi, champagne, pedicab to Rainey Street, drinks? Next thing I know it's Friday morning. Per usual, I laid in bed filtering though emails (one-eyed). Alas, I came across one from Southwest Airlines "flight confirmation # for your upcoming trip". What? Opened the email. "Your flight departs at 4:15pm on Friday, December 7th". HOLD UP.
There's a first time for everything, and this was definitely my first time drunk-booking a flight for NEXT DAY departure. So I did what any other 22 year old would do - I stuffed my backpack with weekend essentials and hopped on a plane to San Diego. Spent the weekend completely shirking all responsibilty, going to my favorite restaurants and drinking coffee on the beach. BAM.
Now, on to more important matters; My Birthmas Wish List. This goes out to my Twitter followers with blue check marks. And any people with money they'd like to get rid of who read my blog. If you're like me and don't know what "having extra money" is like, fair enough! Come buy me a beer on December 29th! You'll probably find me stumbling around this joint in Austin.

15" Macbook Pro (with retina display, please?)
I shattered my screen 7 months ago, which makes it really hard for me to continue writing blog posts. It's also probably a hazard as at any moment the glass could burst out and explode into my eyeballs.
Because an iPhone 4 is JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH (hello, this is a 1st world country).
Boobs
Go big or go home, right?
Student Loans - paid off in full
Please, Santa? I won't ask for a Christmas present for the next 40 years. Seriously. Because that's how long I'll be paying them off. Probably.
Handle of Tito's - Now that's a pretty reasonable request. I have also attached this photo of me next to a bottle of Tito's. Who doesn't love that stuff? Acceptable alternative would be a bottle of Don Julio. Your call.

Now that I've covered the important stuff, I'd like to end this with a question. Could I pass as Dee's little sister in It's Always Sunny? See photo for assistance and leave answer in comment or tweet @rchlstnly. Also, feel free to send a letter to FX.
Ciao!

Runners and Triathletes, Listen Up!
People of the interweb! I'm your host, Rachel Stanley. And here is my first EVER blog post. Try not to be too impressed. Feel free to leave me questions in the comments or tweet me [@rchlstnly]
And remember, I'm not nearly as awkward in real life! So look for me at these upcoming events:
Rock n' Roll Las Vegas Marathon, Las Vegas NV, Nov 29- Dec 1
The Running Event, Austin TX, Dec 2-6
Side Note: I am doing this because I'd love to share my experiences with you guys. So please (please) play nicely. If you say mean things I will probably cry, hide under a rock and never write again which wouldn't be fair to everyone just itching to read my stuff. Cool? Thanks!
Enjoy!
